DUBAI — The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) has officially partnered with Ayedh Dejem Group, a leading construction and real estate development company from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to develop a large-scale mixed-use project in Indonesia’s new capital, Nusantara (IKN).

The cooperation was formalized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement by OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment, Sudiro Roi Santoso, and Chairman of Ayedh Dejem Group, Sheikh Ayedh Dejem, on Friday, January 23, 2026.

Sheikh Ayedh Dejem highlighted Indonesia’s strong economic outlook and the long-term potential of Nusantara as a growth center.

“There is significant growth in the Indonesian economy, and Insyaallah, the economy in IKN will grow rapidly. This creates the need for large-scale projects to meet future demand,” he stated.

Under the agreement, Ayedh Dejem Group will utilize 9.7 hectares of land in Core Government Area (KIPP) 1A, strategically located adjacent to Plaza Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The development will consist of office buildings, commercial zones, a shopping mall, and religious facilities, including a mosque, forming a comprehensive mixed-use complex.

Sheikh Ayedh Dejem emphasized the company’s confidence in the project, citing Indonesia’s demographic and economic strengths.

“Our expertise lies in real estate development. With Indonesia’s vast population and strong economic prospects, combined with our experience from Dubai—one of the world’s top 20 economies—we see tremendous opportunities for property development in Nusantara,” he said.

OIKN Deputy for Funding and Investment, Sudiro Roi Santoso, welcomed the strategic partnership, stating that the agreement marks a significant milestone in attracting global investors to IKN.

“Alhamdulillah, today OIKN and Ayedh Dejem Group have successfully signed a land allocation agreement for a 9.7-hectare area. The estimated investment value reaches approximately IDR 4 trillion,” he said.

He further explained that the project will begin with detailed planning and design, followed by licensing and contractor selection, a process expected to take no more than 18 months. Physical construction is scheduled to commence in mid-2027 and will continue in phases over the next five years.

This partnership is the result of an extensive preparatory process, including a site visit to Nusantara and the signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) on May 8, 2025.

The signing ceremony was also attended by OIKN Deputy for Social, Cultural, and Community Empowerment, Alimuddin, alongside representatives from the Directorate of Investment and Ease of Doing Business, the Directorate of Financing, and the Bureau of Human Resources and Public Relations.

This strategic collaboration further strengthens Nusantara’s vision as a “World City for All,” built through strong partnerships between the Indonesian government and global private sector stakeholders.
